As for Number 2, do not forget Markzware's Q2ID for quickly, easily and with a high conversion accuracy, as a way to open QuarkXPress files within Adobe InDesign CS3 or CS4... (They also have FlightCheck for stand-alone preflight and packaging.)...

Adobe is seemingly placing less resources into the printing sector and that can also perhaps be seen in their blog posts, which GraphicStart.com monitors here on this collection of Adobe blogs. I have seen a noticeable decline in the number of posts about printing, InDesign or related topics, well, the last several months really. With Adobe CS4 sales figures down for a while now, indeed it may just be an economic thing... feel free to click through and give your thoughts...
